Logo

One logo, two inks

The logo exists only in this horizontal form: the symbol on the left, the name on two lines on the right. Use the supplied files; never redraw or retype it.

Dark sea

On white and light grounds, and on Radiant turquoise or Deep wave.

Clear space and size

The files include the clear space the logo needs: keep that area free of text and images.

Minimum size: 50 mm wide in print. On screen, the symbol at least 100 px wide.

Colour

Seven colours of the sea

Blues, light blues and teals. Each piece uses one flat ground. Text is set in Dark sea, or in Breeze of foam or white on Dark sea. Never set white text on Radiant turquoise.

Type

Noto Serif and Noto Sans

Noto Serif is the identity face, chosen because it covers the scripts of the Mediterranean. Noto Sans is for long documents. Both are free under the SIL Open Font License.

Real photographs

Images are photographs: the editions, people at work, the places of Cagliari, documents. No illustrations or generated images.

The arc line traces the lower edge of the logo. It runs over a photograph as a single thick stroke, in Rock water or Open sea green.
